In the winter months of 2004-2005, there was an
unusually large migration of Great Gray
Owls from Canada south to Minnesota.
So large in fact that bird-watchers from many
states came to Minnesota to see these birds.
Most of the owls were observed in northern
Minnesota; but a few were spotted even as far
south as the Twin Cities.
